01, Summary

Three companies operating under a generic engineering-services name needed to unify into one business with a story that matched where growth was headed. Sat with leadership through the strategic call, the naming, and the rebrand.

02, Challenge

A&E Engineering was a commodity name for a business that had grown into something far more distinctive. Two sister companies needed to merge into one brand, and the existing identity, messaging, and go-to-market plan no longer reflected the combined business or the buyers it was trying to reach.

03, What I Did

  1. 01Diagnosed positioning gaps with leadership, customers, and sales across all three companies before touching identity.
  2. 02Led a naming exploration and landed on SkyIO, a distinctive brand for the unified company.
  3. 03Built a new commercial narrative and go-to-market plan for the merged business.
  4. 04Led a full rebrand: identity system, voice, site, and core collateral.
  5. 05Rolled out internal enablement so sales and the wider team actually used the new story.
